Is anyone else trying to learn the guitar?

I took up the electric guitar a year ago. Everyone I know who plays is much better than me (I'm still crap). I was wondering if there are any like-minded blokes in the Nottingham area who fancy meeting up occasionally to share what they have learnt/have a laugh. I'm NOT wanting to start a band, just to get better. I'm into Neil Young, Lou Reed, Clash, bit of folky stuff, blues, whatever. Drop me a line if you're interested,
