* Vacancy – Assistant Manager *

We are looking for a lively, enthusiastic individual with a passion for honest homemade delicious food to join our young & friendly team.

The Job: A full time position of Assistant Manager at Homemade, assisting the day to day running of the shop, preparing sandwiches and meals behind the counter, ordering stock whilst providing excellent customer service & supporting the owner in all things Homemade.

Hours: approx 35 – 40 hours per week, must be flexible as we are open 7 days a week!
The position will start in early September 2009

* * Our Requirements * *
* Minimum 2 years experience of working in a restaurant/café environment
* Experience of food handling and an understanding of freshly prepared food
is essential
* The ability to multi-task, use initiative, and cope under pressure, as it can
get very busy indeed!
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a Supervisory Role
* Proven ability to work to targets.
* Must be confident in managing & guiding staff
* Must have a good working knowledge of stock rotation, ordering and food
safety
* Show a high level of customer service skills at all time
* A real passion for yummy homemade food, this is not a place that survives
with a microwave!

Full Training will be given about all things Homemade.
