Peugeot 306 Dturbo Diesel Diablo Red Tax end October (£1,000)

As the title says, for sale is my 1997 P reg Peugeot 306 DTurbo in Diablo Red colour, 3 door hatchback. I've had the car for more than 3.5 years to commute from Nottingham. It has 126K miles on the clock and the engine is in very good shape, regularly serviced by a local mechanic just across Ashby Road, who I'm sure can confirm the car's good condition.

It has been treated with semi-synthetic oil every 6,000 miles along with oil filter and fuel filter and has been serviced 1,000 miles ago. I have receipts for most work done and parts purchased, with a recent auxiliary belt and tensioner (Peugeot original) change. Cambelt has been changed at approximately 90K by Peugeot in Beeston so it has another 40K miles of life left in it.

Mechanically wise, the car is in very good condition and has never failed to start even in the coldest mornings. New silver oxide battery fitted last year with 3 years of warranty left to it. There are no noises from the suspension whatsoever and it gives a nice and smooth ride. It has always passed its MOT first time easily and without any issues or warnings. All the car’s electrics are working perfectly and is fitted with a factory fitted immobiliser, and a genuine Peugeot alarm (purchase price £200) which I fitted myself for peace of mind.

The engine is extremely economical and returns a realistic average of 45mpg (averaged over several months) so with the current prices, it returns 160-170miles for £20. It does not consume any oil at all, whatever goes in, comes out in the next oil change.

The bodywork is in excellent shape for the year, with the expected marks on the bonnet from the motorway, some scratches on the front bumper and a few light dings from people opening their doors in car parkings, but no signs of rust anywhere. The only part which needs attention is the driver's seat which is worn out and has two holes on the entry points. Unfortunately this is quite common in all 306 cars with sports bucket seats. The seat is still comfortable though, I've driven to Scotland and to Paris recently without any issues really.
