Sneinton Time Bank is a skills exchange run by TRACS Neighbourhood Centre (Charity no. 1104798) where people share their time and skills with others and receive help back in return. Time Banks aim to make communities stronger by increasing voluntary participation and community engagement. Sneinton Time Bank is free to join and when skills are exchanged, no money changes hands. The person providing the service earns time credits and the person receiving the services has time credits deducted.

Time Bank members simply list the skills and experience which they can offer and those that they themselves may need. For example, someone might offer to do gardening and visit house-bound people and want help with decorating and computer skills.
For every hour a member spends helping someone else, they earn a time credit.
One hour’s work equals one credit no matter what skills are used - all skills have equal value.

All time credits that are earned and spent are banked at Sneinton Time Bank.

We will contact you if somebody requests help in one of the areas in which you can provide a service and you can contact us when there is something you need help with.
