The Resourcing Group is a UK Based specialist recruitment agency dedicated to serving the housing sector.

Due to our increasing reputation in the public sector, we urgently require a female Support Worker to work on a full time permanent basis for our client in the Nottingham area.
The successful candidate will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week on a shift rota. This rota works over 7 days and operates 24 hours a day. Therefore sleepovers on site will be required.

The main purpose of this role is to provide a housing support service to young women aged 16 to 25, at Emergency Accommodation for Women, ensuring that they receive appropriate planned support with the view to moving them onto more permanent accommodation.

It is essential that applicants have experience of providing support to a range of homeless women, have an understanding of the effects of domestic violence, legislation relating to domestic violence and child protection issues. As well as an understanding of the issues effecting young homeless women.
Candidates must also possess knowledge of the welfare benefits system, a willingness to work outside normal office hours and a commitment to confidentiality and hostel security.

This position is also exempt under Section 7(2)(e) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.
