Volunteer editor for Nottinghamshire music website
The Surrey Scene is expanding and looking to start local music websites across the country. We've been successful in the Surrey area and now we're preparing The Notts Scene, but we need a volunteer editor to oversee the website on a daily basis.
This isn't a full-time job, rather an editorial post that requires around an hour per day commitment to upload reviews, stories, news, etc., regarding the local music scene. You'll also need to populate the website with band lists, venue lists, get the forum up and running and so on.
As Editor you'll also have total freedom to employ volunteer writers and reporters - all we ask from you is that you are dedicated to making the website a success. We'll oversee things from The Surrey Scene offices and make sure things are running smoothly, but you'll have complete autonomy with regards to what goes on the site (providing it's relevant to local music, of course).
This position may suit a student or someone looking to get some real editorial experience, or even just someone with a bit of experience who is passionate about local music.
Check out our flagship website, The Surrey Scene and if you like what you see and really want a crack at running your own version of the site then send us a CV and a covering letter explaining why you'd be perfect for the job.
