PEOPLE:
I'm the lease holder & the only other flat mate, a freelance graphic designer. The good news is that you'll have the place to yourself most of the time, as I'll be in South Africa for more than half the time of the year. The neighbours are all friendly & helpful. Two of my friends in the building are available in case of problems whilst I'm abroad.

AREA:
Trellick Tower is on Golborne Road with its lively coffee shops & cafés, delicatessens, antique shops, fishmonger, butchers, library, doctors, dentists, lawyers, the Fat Badger pub & Stella McCartney's new building, to name a few. For essentials there is a Costcutter supermarket on the ground floor of the tower. Golborne Road cuts into Portobello Road with even more attractions. Number 10, the new bar below & club upstairs is across the road, the Golborne Grove pub is more or less next to it, & the Cobden Club is 2 minutes walk away, so there's no need to even take a coat to have a drink (or two or three, steady now). The famous RELLICK fashion shop is also across the road from Trellick Tower. The Portobello & Golborne Markets are great places to bargain hunt, & bump into friends. All in all you don't have to go far to socialise & shop safely.

TRAVEL:
The number 23 bus stop is in front of Trellick Tower. Westbourne Park Underground (probably your best bet) is 5 minutes walk away, & Ladbroke Grove Tube & buses (7 & 52) about 12 minutes away.
Across the Grand Union Canal, running along the north side of the building, there are other bus stops on Harrow Road.
Notting Hill Tube is 20 minutes walk or a short bus ride away.
The Grand Union towpath is excellent for cycling towards Little Venice, Regents Park, Camden Market & Islington.

COSTS:
Single person: £450 per month plus £100 water, broadband, concierge, heating & service charges = £550 per month total all inclusive.
Couples: £550 per month plus £100 heating & service charges = £650 per month total.
One month's rent & service charge required as deposit.
