German to English Translator

The Company:

Our client, a global market leader in translation and language services, is looking to recruit a German to English translator to be based in their office in Nottingham.

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a great team of translators. You will be working in one of the following sectors; automotive or technology or IT or Law or Finance.

This position will include the following responsibilities:

- translation of a large sum of text into English
- proofreading of finished translations
- formatting of documents
- extract and re-insert text into documents
- ensure that the translation is complete and correct
- check the German based documents for consistency and suitability for translations

Candidate Profile:

Candidates must speak English on a native level with an excellent command of the German language. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within either Automotive or Technology or IT or Law or Finance.
Good computer literacy especially in MS Office, TRADOS and/or TRANSIT is fundamental. You must be able to respond to changes in language, have good communication and organisation skills along with a keen attention to detail.

Salary/Additional Information:

The basic salary for the role starts from £16,000 pa.
