Deputy Manager Elderly Kirkby-in-Ashfield
Our client requires a Deputy Home Manager for its Elderly Care Home in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. As Registered Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Home Manager with the day to day running of the car home with overall responsibility of the home and meeting its statement of purpose in the absence of a Manager.
You will work with the Home Manager to regularly monitor all areas of the Home to ensure at all times the highest achievable standards of care are delivered to the client whilst working within the defined company policies and procedures.
You'll ensure all nursing and care practices are evidence based and reflect current trends. You'll provide a role model for all other trained nurses working within the Home and Create an open, positive and inclusive atmosphere.
As Deputy Manager you'l demonstrate strong positive ideas about professional practice and development and promote the rights of the service users (particularly privacy, dignity, independence, choice and self fulfilment) whilst adhering to National Minimum Standards, and all relevant legislative requirements.
You will also liaise closely with and build a sound professional working relationship with all other professionals e.g. Doctors, Social workers, Registration and Inspection Officers etc. who visit the Home.
Essential Criteria
Nursing Care Deputy Manager
To be a registered nurse with the NMC.
Provide evidence of at least 2 years management experience in a relevant care setting within the past 5 years.
Is qualified at level 4 NVQ or working towards it, in care management or its equivalent.
Dementia Care Deputy Manager
Must be a qualified R.M.N. or an RGN with 'Care of a Client with Dementia Illness' diploma
Provide evidence of at least 2 years management experience in a relevant care setting within the past 5 years.
Is qualified at level 4 NVQ or working towards it, in care management or its equivalent.
Residential Home Deputy Manager
Provide evidence of at least 2 years management experience in a relevant care setting within the past 5 years.
Is qualified at level 3 NVQ or working towards it. Working towards the Registered Managers Award.
1. Evidence of undertaken periodic training to update his/her knowledge, skills and competence.
2. Possession of the ENB 998 or 730 Courses (Teaching Certificates) Mentorship Course, would be useful when the Registered Person is required to provide teaching programmes for staff.
3. The applicant should have been in employment recently and show evidence of being up to date with current legislation, mandatory requirements and (something like current trends/working methods within the professional Care Industry).
4. All job holders with professional nursing or other professional qualifications must maintain their own professional competence in accordance with the NMC code of conduct.
Be able to carrying out any other necessary duties as agreed with Directors\Operations Team\Home Manager.
