Social Work Team Leader- Substance Misuse

Our client is looking for a qualified Team Leader to join their Substance Misuse team.

Applicants are sought from suitably experienced and qualified professionals to manage this busy service. You will be managing an integrated team of nurses, social workers, counsellors and doctors

You will be required to be responsible for a range of social work staff within the area and have a key role in developing services responsive to the needs of people with a substance misuse problem.

You must have proven organisational and interpersonal skills together with awareness of current decision making structures within the local government.

You will need to be an enthusiastic and committed individual who is genuinely interested in helping people to overcome their problems. It is essential that you have the ability to remain professional at all times.

To become the successful candidate in this position you will need to have the following:

• A social work qualification
• At least four years post qualification work experience
• The ability to apply for a CRB disclosure
• Registration with the General Social Care Council

This is a 6 month contract however the manager has said that there is a chance of an extension on this depending on the progression of the employee. The pay rate for this position has been set at £33.90 per hour not including the various expenses.
