This is an autonomous role, responsible for managing a team of toolmakers and leading improvement projects both in the UK and Europe.
You will play a key role in the business, working closely with the manufacturing and quality managers to ensure business objectives are met.
This leading supplier of consumer goods is known for their innovation, consistently meeting client's expectations. The company has a high tech manufacturing facility and invests heavily in new equipment.
This is a secure position where you will take to day responsibility of the tooling department in a global manufacturer with an excellent reputation. The successful applicant will need to be a skilled tool maker with experience management/supervisory experience.
The role:
* You will be managing the tool room department including 4 engineers.
* Based within the manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring an excellent standard of tooling maintenance is achieved.
* Identify areas of improvement and carry out any approved projects.
* Provide monthly reports
* Have full responsibility of direct reports and any in direct when needed.
The Person needed:
* Injection moulding tool making background
* Supervisory / man management experience
* Engineering qualification
