Assistant Bar Manager Required for Busy Coffee Bar
Overall Objective:
To support the Bar Manager in being responsible for the day to day duties that contribute to the smooth and efficient running the bar, and to assist the Bar Manager with any ad hoc duties that will improve the overall operation of the bar.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Customer Service
•To lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service at all times
•To ensure the ‘seven steps to customer service heaven’ are adhered to
•To make and serve AMT’s excellent hot and cold drinks according to company standards
•To greet all customers with a smile and offer to assist with their order
•To refer any problems or issues that you can’t resolve to your Bar Manager
•To look presentable to customers and to ensure uniform standards are upheld by the Baristas
•To ensure cash notes are checked with the money checker pen
•To resolve any customer complaints in the absence of your Bar Manager
•To assist your Bar Manager in ensuring all procedures are adhered to
2.Daily Duties:
•To re-stock the fridges and baskets, ensuring all products are displayed at their best
•To ensure that the bar area is kept clean and tidy at all times
•To be responsible for cash handling duties
•To carry out cashing up and banking procedures as per company policy
•To ensure a high level of efficiency when checking and accepting deliveries from suppliers
•General day to day duties to help with the bar’s operations
•To carry out customer surveys as and when instructed by your Bar Manager
•To liaise with baristas on Weekly Updates, Mystery Shopper and Audit results and work on areas that demands tuning in conjunction with Bar Manager.
3. Health and Safety
•Following safe manual handling procedures as shown in the company training manual
•Follow instructions given by Station Managers and Bar Manager in relation to specific security measures
•Participate in any health and safety training sessions as directed by the Station Manager
•Highlight any health and safety issues to your Bar Manager
•To ensure the bar is bar is locked, alarmed (where applicable) and secure at the end of a closing shift
4.Financial:
•To help to carry out banking procedures
•To help to take control of stock counts and sending through the relevant information to head office on a weekly basis
•To post completed till check sheets to the Sales Ledger
•To work towards your agreed labour and stock targets with the support of your Bar Manager
•To notify your Bar Manager and HR Manager of any concerns regarding discrepancies in monetary dealings
5.Miscellaneous
•To agree to abide by the Employee Handbook and set a good example to your baristas
•To carry out all other reasonable requests as directed by your Bar Manager
